The EXPLODE Program for Real Estate Agents – Start By Asking Today
As we dive into the content of this course, it will be really easy for you to get sucked into the rabbit holes that any one of these lessons might create. The important thing for you to remember is that you’re a licensed REALTOR® that has chosen a path in the arena of sales. Start asking everyone you know an meet how you can help them accomplish their real estate dreams. A tried and true script is:
“Who do you know that is thinking about buying a home, selling a home, or investing in real estate that I can talk to today?”
While there are many more scripts out there, start here. It’s simple. You’ve probably heard the Biblical text, “Ask and you shall receive”. This will also apply to you developing a successful sales business. You must ask, or you won’t know what might have been. Transactions are happening daily in the real estate world, and are you getting your unfair share.
Michael Jordan and Emmitt Smith – Get Your Ask in Gear
Back in the 90’s, Emmitt Smith reached out to Michael Jordan to see if he could learn a little more about business from him. Mike agreed and set up the meeting place.
After they met, Emmitt asked Mike, “How come we don’t have meetings like this more often to learn from each other and do business together?”
Mike, “What did you have to do to get this meeting?”
Emmitt, “I had to call you to ask you for the information.”
Mike, “Exactly. If you had not done that we would not be sitting down talking about business right now. You were humble enough to ask for help, meaning you were willing to learn. I cannot teach someone who is not willing to learn. You have to have a fertile mind before seeds can be planted or you will never learn.”
Moral of the Story: You must ask! No short cuts with this one.
Make sure as you’re going through this course that you are committing time daily to asking people how you can help them with their real estate needs. When you ask, the magic happens.

There is a lot that happens in this sometimes crazy world we live in. I think about the time when I was actively selling homes during one of the worst economic crises in our history. There will always be “x” that will happen during the time you are a business owner. Most of these incidents that take place often can not be predicted; look at the current COVID-19 pandemic. What you should focus on are the things that you can control. Focusing on the following will get you much further down the road than you can imagine. This type of thinking keeps you solution focused.
